 Sometimes on our photo trips we imagine we must be taking part in a hidden camera reality TV show, where we visit cafes along the seafronts and are presented with increasingly bad cups of coffee.If this were the case, then I have the feeling that we just took part in the final episode. Years ago, Yorkshire day trippers used to bring a flask and sandwiches to the beach - and were ribbed for being 'tight', yet somehow I feel they were wiser than that. It's a shame that on our trips along the Yorkshire coast sea-fronts we were repeatedly dismayed by the sub-standard 'fayre' on offer. MORE... |

Even a tepid coffee from a flask made hours ago would have been a refreshing respite. Luckily we discovered 'Bramwells' in the town centre at the end of the day - on Belle Vue Road, save your thirst and head there for a cup which is NOT simply filled from a vending style machine by pressing the button marked 'Coffee'.....
