Filey Beach, Sunrise
There are nearly six miles of sands with beach chalets and the well-known Filey Brigg, good scrambling and walking at low tide plus rock pools to splash in and search for mysterious creatures of the sea.
Take a Donkey ride along the sands, or just take it easy on the beach.
Filey is protected to the north by a low lying ridge of rocks called Filey Brigg and the sands sweep to the south, terminated by the spectacular chalk cliffs of Speeton and Bempton. Apart from being an attractive feature, the Brigg offers a diverse variety of birds and marine life and is regularly visited by Naturalists and Ornithologists at all times of the year.
Photographed at sunrise, August Bank Holiday 2005.
