Not everyone visiting Scarborough for the first time realises quite what a busy port it is, with ferries, fishing boats and pleasure boats coming and going all the time.
People and boat watching from Vincent Pier makes for a very pleasant morning or afternoonÕs entertainment, especially on a sunny day, but if it gets a bit chilly you have plenty of places to pop in to to get a nice warm drink or even a snack. The lighthouse and the Diving Belle statue give you a good excuse to stroll down the end of the pier.
