Only in Scarborough would you be spoiled for choice as to whether to look inland or out to sea when walking along the beach, but as you stroll along South Beach your eyes will constantly be drawn by the graceful spans of the Spa Footbridge and the Grand Hotel overlooking the esplanade.
Scarborough is a very popular resort but the miles of sandy beaches mean that they are rarely crowded and early in the morning or as the sun sets behind the hills inland you will be certain of a lovely quiet walk along the sands.
