The Sandside area of Scarborough has a really Mediterranean feel to it, with the wide esplanade, the nets drying and the boats moored alongside, it is easy to imagine you are in Spain or Italy, especially if the weather is kind.
The Fish Pier is just nearby and when the boats come in the whole of the harbour is buzzing with activity, but when the boats are out and all is quiet it is ideal for just a sit down with a drink or a sandwich, to take the chance to watch the world go by.
