The waterfall in Peasholm Park runs into the Boating Lake and although it is man made it makes use of the natural lie of the land and so looks very realistic. It forms a great backdrop to the lake as seen from the seats across the water and is very much part of the scenery for those enjoying a quiet sit down.
In the picture, there is a boat moored at the foot of the falls; this is one of the models used in the famous naval battle re-enactments in the park. The boat sheds where the models are stored are just visible at the side of the waterfall.
