The Clifton Hotel on QueenÕs Parade, North Bay, marks almost the extent of the town in this direction. By following the path along the top of the cliff to Peasholm Gap, you will reach yet another of ScarboroughÕs beautiful sandy beaches, set below the sheltering cliff.
The land is getting quite rugged towards this end of town and the walk is quite a challenge, but more than worth it when you reach the stretch of lovely golden sand. Peasholm Gap is what is called a Chine further south, a valley cut by a stream as it makes its way to the sea, now the site of the Sands Apartments.
