One of the great things about Scarborough is that it is so many resorts in one. Fish Pier is a working fish market and this is why the town is so famous for its fish and chips and seafood; much of it has literally just been caught before it ends up on your plate.
The view from the end of the Fish Pier is amazing as well Ð the lighthouse as well as the very striking Diving Belle statue are all clearly visible from here. The Fish Pier is not beautiful in itself, but it is the heart of the town in so many ways.
